VOX POPS
This month we're asking people to send in some lyrics that make them wince, especially if they are
by people who are supposed to be poets or have lots of cred ('cause let's face it, it would be easy to
write down every line by Aqua or Third Eye Blind). If you feel this is all a bit negative, feel free
to send in your favourite lyrics, and we can make a new section.
- 1) "I am just from Encino, why are you so meano." Sonic Youth - Drunken Butterfly
2) "The beach is deserted, except for some kelp, and a piece of an old ship that lies on the shore. You always responded when I needed your help, you gave me a lock and a
key to your door." Bob Dylan - Sara
3) "Don't ask me for directions, I'll offer you no infections." Chris Whitley - Automatic Love
4) "Mountains come out of the sky - and they stand there." Yes - Roundabout
5) "Tijuana lady, let's take it slow, I know that I'm no head honcho, I'll keep you warm in my silky poncho." Gomez - Tijuana Lady
6) "I don't want to see a ghost, it's the sight I fear most, rather eat a piece of toast, watch the evening news." Des'ree - Life
7) "Big man walking in the park, Wigwam frightened of the dark." Beatles - Hello Bulldog
